A Regular Called Meeting of the City Commission was held on Wednesday, MARCH 21, 2018, at 5:00 P.M. in the Kenneth T. Nunn Council Room in City Hall, Texas City, Texas. A quorum having been met, the meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m. by Mayor Matthew T. Doyle.

a.
Fire Inspection Prevention Report (Fire Marshal)
Dennis Harris, Fire Marshal Captain, gave a brief PowerPoint presentation detailing the responsibilities of the Fire Marshal's office. Mr. Harris also explained the fire inspection process and provided photos of what his department looks for.
b.
Report on the City of Texas City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ending September 30, 2017. (Finance)
Laura Boyd, Finance Director, introduced Dan Hernandez of Whitley Penn, to the Commissioners, and allowed him to give the City's Financial Audit Report. Mr. Hernandez went over key financial data and thanked Laura Boyd for her help throughout the auditing process. Mr. Hernandez also stated that there were zero findings this year.

STAFF COMMENTS
Thomas Munoz, Director of Emergency Management, stated that the Active Shooter Seminar he hosted with Texas City ISD went great.
Robert Burby, Chief of Police, explained that our City is being proactive and hands on to insure that no matter what attacks may come, we are prepared and know what to do.
Dennis J. Harris, Director of Recreation and Tourism, stated that the Texas City Eggsttravaganza will be on Wednesday, March 28th at 5:30 p.m.
Michael Skiba, Golf Course Manager, stated that next Wednesday and Thursday the Bayou Golf Corse will be hosting the annual Marathon Tournament.

MAYOR'S COMMENTS
Mayor Doyle wished everyone a Happy Easter and a spiritual Holy Week.

COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS
Commissioner Roberts wished everyone a Happy Easter.
Commissioner Jones thanked Thomas Munoz and Chief Burby for keeping our community prepared. Ms. Jones then invited everyone to Greater Barbour's Chapel on Palm Sunday at 3:00 p.m. for festivities.

ADJOURNMENT
Having no further business, Commissioner At-Large Dee Ann Haney made a MOTION to ADJOURN at 5:41 p.m.; the motion was SECONDED by Commissioner Thelma Bowie. All present voted AYE. MOTION CARRIED.
